Where India’s Kitchen Meets the World’s Future

Where India's Kitchen Comes Home

Alora began with a chef's question. Varun Chaudhary spent a lifetime cooking — and watched millions of Indians order food online every day, quietly trading real spices, real technique, and real nutrition for convenience.

He asked: why should anyone have to choose?

Joined by Anuj Kumar, an investor who backs conviction over market size, and Akshay Gupta, a CA who ran the numbers and found a mission worth funding, the three built Alora — authentic Indian meals, freeze-dried to lock in up to 97% of their nutrition, served in biodegradable crockery, made with zero palm oil and real butter.

No preservatives. No compromise. Just real Indian food, ready in minutes.

The People Behind Alora

Honest food begins with honest people. These are the voices, beliefs, and commitments behind Alora.

The best investments are the ones that stand for something.

I have backed ventures across industries - but Alora was different. When Varun and Akshay walked in with the idea, what struck me was not the market size. It was the conviction. Three friends tired of food that was either fake in taste or harmful in ingredients. That was a problem worth solving.

Alora is my commitment to a brand that never cuts corners because the people eating our food deserve better.

Mr. Anuj Kumar
Mr. Anuj Kumar Founder & Director

Born from a Chef’s Heart. Built for the World.

I am Varun Chaudhary - a chef, a food lover, and someone who has spent a lifetime believing that every person deserves to eat truly great food. Cooking is not just my profession; it is my passion, my identity, and the reason Alora exists.

In today’s rushed world, millions of Indians order food online daily - not out of choice, but out of necessity. And as a chef, what I saw troubled me deeply: wrong spices, shortcuts, no authentic recipes, no real quality. People were spending money, but silently compromising on taste, nutrition, and their own health.

That one question changed everything for me: “Why should anyone have to choose between convenience and real food?”

The answer was Alora - freeze-dried, ready-to-eat food made with authentic Indian recipes, the finest ingredients, and the right spices in perfect balance. A technology that preserves up to 97% of nutrition, locks in real flavour and aroma, and delivers the taste of a home-cooked meal with biodegradable crockery - anytime, anywhere.

Alora carries India’s rich culinary heritage to every table in the world - with no compromise, ever.

Numbers tell the truth - and the truth was, the market deserved better.

My lens is finance and investment. I have evaluated hundreds of opportunities through risk, return, and long-term value. With Alora, the numbers made sense but more importantly, the mission did.

The market gap was real. The consumer demand was clear. And the commitment to build an Indian food brand that is honest, healthy, and globally competitive - was worth every rupee.
